Join for a Hill Training session drawing a whisk around the lumps of Wimbledon!

We will meet at Colliers Wood Station (it’s a straight shot from Clapham Common, just lots of bad drivers and narrow bike lanes so dangerous to roll in a group) for a prompt 0830 start. Hill training is an excellent way to improve your fitness on the bike. We’ll be cycling 52km round trim from Clapham Common and climbing just over 600m. We will wait for everyone at the top of each hill, regrouping before we tackle the next climb.

These climbs are each shorter in elevation than most of the Crystal Palace hills, but there are more of them. The roads have a moderate amount of traffic and there are some sharp turns, so it’s important we stay together as a group and that everyone with a GPS has the route up.

Please bring:
• a cycle helmet
• front and rear lights
• a spare inner tube, pump and tyre levers
• face mask
• anti-bacterial gel wash and/or latex gloves
• plenty of food and water
• cash and bank card.
You will not need a bike lock.

You must adhere to current Government and British Cycling social distancing guidelines at all times. This includes:
• not joining an organised event if you have had any symptoms of Covid-19 within the last 7 days, or have been in contact with someone showing symptoms within the past 14 days
• maintaining 1+ metres distance from fellow riders at all times, except in an emergency.

Please keep in mind that we may need to cancel events at short notice if Government advice changes or if a ride leader poses a risk of spreading Covid-19. We greatly appreciate your understanding with this.
